Certified and sworn translations
In Italy it is often necessary to translate legal documents for official use. To legalize the translation, the translator register it at the Magistrates'Court.
The sworn, certified translation is usually required for identity documents, certificates, official declarations, self-certifications, marriage or divorce certificates, diplomas and school certificates, as well as for legal documents, balance sheets and financial statements, contracts, letters of engagement, driving license and vehicle registration certificates, professional qualifications, CVs, Criminal Records Certificate, judgments, judicial appeal, medical certificates, etc. and, in general, whenever the translator is required to provide an official certification that the translated text complies with the original.
